Origin of "Er Chong Si" (二重溪)
Ku Si Village was established in Da Nei Township after the war. It was originally a village named "Kou Zhuang" in the "Er Chong Si Second Protectorate." It was called "Ku Si Village" because it was located on the protruding bank of the Zengwen River. Ku Si Village is located west of Er Si Village, on the east side of the "Er Si Bridge," and includes Kou Zhuang, Yuan Zi Jiao, Guo Gou Zi, Da Cuo Ding, Bei Tou Jiao, Hou Jiao Zi, and other areas. Er Si Village includes Qi Zi Wa, Xin She, Jiu She, Wan Qiu, Da Pu Lun, Zou Ma Le, Nei Hu, Tang Jian, Guo Gou Zi, and Jing Zi Kou.
"Er Chong Si" means crossing two rivers. In the early days, to reach this area from Shan Hua, one had to cross two rivers. The first crossing was near "Shi Zi Le" and the "North Shi Zhou Bridge" (southwest of Shi Zi Le). The second crossing was in the area of "Er Si Bridge." If you come from Nan Si or Yu Jing, you also have to cross two rivers. The first crossing is near Yu Jing's "Xiao Li," and the second crossing is between Zou Ma Le and Da Pu Lun. Therefore, this place was named "Er Chong Si," and it is now commonly referred to as "Er Si."
